In 2000 Rigobert Mbila, with the Center Wallonia-Brussels of Kinshasa, launched a project called Podium for Young Talents. A music professor, with the first glance of his eye he honed in on those young musicians possessing true talent. He knows better than anyone how to compose and arrange pieces well suited to highlight the talent of the instrumentalists and singers in his fledgling program.

No one strives higher for perfection. During rehearsal, Mbila can often be seen with drawn up ear, rolled up nose, and a grim look: all the senses mobilized to bar the way for any false note, off tone inflection, or hitch in a dance step.

Two years after launching Podium for Young Talents, Rigobert Mbila created the Waasa group, which has recorded the EP, Patience, consisting of three songs. Public reception has been quite favorable.
